Wow, can you believe it? The summer is almost over!
Before I get into tips for staying healthy…I am going to stay a bit about my summer 🙂
This summer has been so much fun. It started with my sister Becca surprising me on on Memorial Day when she drove all the way from Albuquerque, NM to San Diego, CA. We had fun hanging out and fundraising for her mission trip to the Philippines and Vietnam. We made veggie smoothies and cooked healthy organic meals. This is one of the tips to staying healthy that she took home with her. My sister said “I’ve never felt this good or been this regular” LOL!
Next, Robert and I went on our first vacation together since our honeymoon 2 years ago! He was working 70+ hours as a GM and never took time off bc no one not even the own knew how to run the restaurant. Finally, he surprised me with taking time off to go to The Rock Marriage Getaway in Palm Springs 🙂 I wasn’t able to sleep in past 5:30AM so I went running around the golf course and did abs in the gym before it got crazy HOT! Miles our pastor gave Robert some tips to staying healthy. He said, “just a little each day”. So true those little habits each day of eating healthy and exercising make a BIG difference in the long run!
Then my mom came out a little over a month later…during the week that Robert and I were doing a vegan detox. She followed it with us and lost 5 lbs that week!
Here are some more tips to staying healthy…we did fun outdoor activities every day…bike riding on Coronado Island, watching the sunset at Sunset Cliffs, coming to my Beach Bikini Workout but instead of working out my mom looked at all the firepits and found the one with the BEST food then asked if she could warm up her hands. Of course they said yes then offered her smores. Yes, she ate smores while my ladies at the boot camp were working their butts off!
Next, my dad and his new wife plus 2 sons and my sister Rachel and her husband came to visit.
We had a whole week of all day long amusement parks and such planned but after one day of fun my sister, her hubby, my hubby, and I could not hang so we spent the next couple of days relaxing at the beach and hanging out in the living room talking.
The week that my family was out here was the same week that my LIVE Google Hangout on tips to staying healthy started. It was also the same day that I was going sailing with my family so I couldn’t be there LIVE. Thank goodness for a great team of ladies who I taught how to run the LIVE Hangout 🙂
