Wow, I had so much fun this evening hanging out with 20 other other fitness and nutrition bloggers at the launch of Sammy’s Woodfire Pizza new healthy vegan and vegetarian options in La Jolla. We got to try a little of each of the new items. My table got to try more options because I am allergic to dairy so the cook was awesome and made all of my tastings dairy-free. I love it when restaurants take care of customers with food allergies!!!
So let’s get into Sammy’s Woodfire Pizza review…
I missed the first 2 courses because I was finishing up teaching yoga and had to drive up to Sammy’s in La Jolla. Normally, I hate being late but I showed up anyway and am so glad that I did. I have been to Sammy’s many times since there is one just down the street from me in Point Loma, however when I think of Sammy’s “healthy” is not the first word that comes to my mind. I’m allergic to dairy so most items are off of the list. With the old menu I was very limited in options to choose from and the dishes always came out SUPER salty! This tasting shifted my views on this restaurant!
