Wow, this video was jam pack with great info telling you how to curb your sugar cravings! Since there was so much information packed into 2 minutes thought we could review a little more in detail.

Ok, so let’s review the 3 things to do:

1. How to Curb Your Sugar Cravings – Eat Often

Eating every 2-3 hours will keep your blood sugar stable throughout the day. When you skip a meal or forget to eat, your blood sugar decreases too low and your body starts to go into starvation mode because it doesn’t know when your next meal will be. This slows down your metabolize and then causes you to crave sugar.

So let’s kick it up a knotch…If you can eat every 2-3 hours for 5 weeks your metabolism will be on fire and you will burn burning fat without even realizing it all day long! Who doesn’t want that? I know I sure do! So by eating often you don’t only curb sugar craving but you also burn more calories.

2. How to Curb Your Sugar Cravings – Eat Whole Foods

By eating whole foods, you get fiber, vitamins, minerals, and feel satisfied from chewing your food. Shakes and bars are very convenient however you will have a much better time maintaining your results if you learn to eat whole foods. What is a whole food? Something that you can pick off a tree or plant or something you can kill. These foods do not come in a box, can, bag, or bottle. Chose whole foods and you will see that you don’t have as many sugar cravings.

Here is an example of a whole food lunch…

  • Grilled Salmon
  • Kale
  • Avocado
  • Cherry Tomatoes
  • Pomegranate Seeds
  • Lemon Juice
  • S & P
Ok, I’m sure you get the picture. Doesn’t this meal sound so much better than drinking a protein shake because you were too lazy to wake up 30 minutes early to pack a lunch? Yum!

3. How to Curb Your Sugar Cravings – Eat a Breakfast Full of Protein, Fat, and Phytonutrients

Now, I’m sure you know what healthy protein and fats are but what the heck are phytonutrients? They are plants! So to eat a salad first thing in the AM is tough so what I do is make a green smoothie with my Vitamix. Here is my fav recipe!
