Healthy Weight Loss Programs and How Can I Lose 20 lbs

I get asked “how can I lose 20 lbs” all the time. This may be your first 20 lbs, your second 20 lbs, or your last 20 lbs. Depending on where you are right now will determine how quick you will be able to get rid of 20 lbs for good.

The first 20 lbs is normally the easiest to drop, because you are motivated and excited to wear that new outfit. However, to continue losing the next or last 20 lbs is much more challenging and takes some strategies during your healthy weight loss programs.

I know for myself I for almost 10 years, I would gain and lose 20 lbs throughout the year. It was so annoying and frustrating. I am so glad that I finally figured out what worked for me. Then I taught my clients, and now I am teaching you.

Q: How can I lose 20 lbs?

#1 Go sugar-free

This doesn’t mean that you cut sugar and fruit out of your diet for good. You will become aware of the foods that have hidden sugar in them. If you follow me on Facebook or my blog, you will see that I talk about going sugar-free in my Healthy Weight Loss Programs.

#2 Make your meals and snacks at home

If you are doing Healthy Weight Loss Programs you know that it is so important to eat every 2.5-3 hours. When you make your food at home, you are in control of what you are eating. Buying food that is packaged or in a can has less nutrients and has added junk that you don’t need to consume. If you are busy during the week and cooking is last on your list then make your meals and snacks on the weekend. Now, you will be prepared.

#3 Lifts weights 2-3x/wk

Don’t worry you won’t get big and bulky when adding weight training to your Healthy Weight Loss Programs. Do 15-25 reps per set. You will actually lose weight by putting more muscle on your body. When you do this then you will drop your body fat! You will also burn more calories throughout the day just by having more muscle on your body.
